I remember when the Drakes in the Gates of Kryta mission would drop golds that had no negative attributes.
I still have this bow as a memento of times gone by:

Running around post searing Ascalon screaming "where am i????"
Made a E/N then the Prima Guide siad better to be a E/Mo so I deleted it.... I was level 13 in druid's overlook and people were like WTF?
Thinking a Drok's run was mandatory.
Buying Pigmail and saying how "epic" i was
Paying 5k for a Ssauske's sword (still cant spell that)
Making my first 5k. that was the most cash i had for 2 years.
Getting a Geoffer's Bulwark and tried to run Droks with no "Charge!"
Running Piken Square for 400g
The massive cheers when my level 16 warrior in full Lion's Arch armor ran to Beacons.
Nightfall BWE. man, that was crazy.
wow... i have much more.

I started playing about two months after GW came out. I started playing it along with about 6-10 colleagues from work (I work in a call-center) who formed a guild.
Some of the stuff that comes to mind...
- Farming gold/materials for cash to get capes/guild hall.
- Discovering that there was a difference between a mission and quest by pressing the mission button in The Great Northern Wall.
- Killing my first boss in The Breach, thinking I was "invincible" now that I had a Morale Boost...that was until my level 6 wammo entered The Ascalon Foothills and faced a level 10 Hydra.
- First encounter with a Frost Wurm in Lornar's Pass.
- Game bugs like seeing my henchies running off in the sky in Dragon's Gullet (after a party wipe)
Personal Achievements:
- Exploring 86% of Tyian even before there was even a title for it.
- First “Infusion” Run.
- Capping a black bear in Lornar's Pass with my level 8 ranger.
- Exploring Lornar's Pass and Snake Dance.
- Capping first elite (“Defy Pain”) while Clobberhusk was still alive.
Discovering:
- Temple of Ages
- Making money by running other toons
- Griffon farming
- The breath-taking views from Anvil Rock, Majesty's Rest, The Falls, Kessex Peak, Snake Dance
- Seeing a 55-monk for first time in action
Funny Acts:
- Guild Members all taking off their armor for the cut-scenes
- Taking a caravan from TOA to Old Ascalon (just for the hell of it).
- Running my level 6 wammo to Marhan's Grotto for Elite Gladiator armor
I still have my first char, which is currently being used as a mule. He is pretty much the same as I have left him four years ago (same armor, skills, etc.). I chuckle looking at his build/skill set/weapons, etc, thinking I was "hot sh*t".

I remember running an E/R build in Tombs (not HA) with traps, Inferno, Lava Font, and Troll Unguent. It was sweet.
Also, I remember seeing a gold weapon for the first time and going

When your friends would pm you as they were about to face their doppleganger and you would wish them good luck, and not to get discouraged.
I remember them Pmin you back hours later saying "I give up"
The Prima Strategy guide was FASCINATING
I remember deleting my first Warrior (W/Me) because I wanted to be a Monk secondary, I was unaware that you could switch secondaries. Hey do you remember the secondary profession changers in the outposts in the desert, had to trek for hours to get to those places.

Gawd yes I certainly remember those wonderful times when you had to actually do something to earn your privileges. Remember the extra 30 attribute points and how long it took to finally get them in Prophecies? hell they give them to you so easily in Factions and Nightfall now it's no wonder the game is too easy and sucks now. The problem with Prophecies they never fixed though was that run between Beacons Perch and Droknars. Never should have let people get to that max level armor so easily because it ruined early and mid game pvp as well as mid game resource sales for the mid game armor that hardly anyone needed or wanted to buy because of the run exploit.
The salvation for all those lost sales of mid game resources finally arrives in the Traveler Nicholas who needs those items for rewards now. Only took them 5 years to make him. lol
I was in awe of minion masters in those days. It was great grouping with one in THK and just watching his minions plow through everything like the 3 heroes from Nightfall do there now.
I remember Everquest doing something that was very kewl and brought back the old game. You could only play in the first chapter and couldn't bring anything or use anything from any of the newer expansions. This gave back to gamers the good old days when things were the most fun and expansions didn't ruin the game as people could only play in one portion of the world. It would be nice if Anet/NCsoft did something like this and brought back the old world and game of Prophecies before they ruined it with Heroes and consumables and inscripted weapons and any other things that have made the game so easy and simple now. Bring back the good old Heroes Asscent Wraiths, bring back the unlimited minion masters and when soul reaping was really soul reaping and not limited soul reaping.

I don't know if this is "early" but I remember the moment heroes were implemented and the devs overlooked their effect in AB...
12vs12 suddenly become 12+heroes vs 12+heroes.

I remember when IWAY was so popular and it was easy to get into a group in HA and win too. I loved watching IWAY teams rip up the holy trinity groups too. hahahahah Anet has found a way to nerf everything that was fun though through the years. So, now I want them to nerf 55 monks and Shadowform Sins why should they have all the fun if we all can't?

It's safe to say, that Guild Wars was the funnest, and most enjoyable video game that I have ever played.
I hope the developing team can create GW2 to have the same 'must play' feeling that the original Guild Wars had pre expansions.
Other than that...anyone remember the epic struggles that Villianry of Galrath produced??

I remember when the Great Temple of Balthazar had a place where you could clip through the rock and end up in this awesome little cove. Everyone just referred to it as "The Cave," and regular visitors all knew each other and socialized there. Some time later, Anet fixed it and closed the cave. I haven't seen those players since.

YES.
I remember doing it with friends, and at least one of us 007ed just before Galrath... leaving the remainder to tackle him on our own. We did it after a lot of pulling back and forth.
